Today is about people pleasing ... “If you are busy pleasing everyone, you are not being true to yourself” – Jocelyn Murray Being true to ourselves is a challenge which requires a degree of vigilance. It is easy to fall into the trap of people pleasing, sacrificing ourselves and our time, doing things that are not in our best interest. If, we feel resentful because our efforts to please have not achieved a desired result, we need to question our intentions. We should ask ourselves "What was I hoping to gain?" and "What part of myself have I sacrificed in doing this?" Wanting happiness for someone else is wonderful. As is, doing things to help others. But, to be true to ourselves, our actions need to be motivated by joyful willingness rather than a feeling of obligation, a way to achieve a particular item, or a need for praise, approval or affection. Today is about learning...
"We learn from failure, not from success!” ― Bram Stoker We learn to succeed through failure. Failure guides us toward new and better approaches. It shows us what is beneficial and what is working for us in the current situation. It is our personal, real-time, always on call teacher. Failure has the ability to lead us in new directions, to open our minds to previously unexplored possibilities. It provides us with an opportunity to learn something new about ourselves, others and the world beyond our desire. Failure can expand our capacity for resilience and compassion, if we see it as part of a journey rather than a final destination. Wishing you a day of sparkling successes! Fly on, Superhero. Fly on. Today is about imagination... “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." - Albert Einstein “Logic will get you from A to Z; imagination will get you everywhere.” - Albert Einstein The virtues and benefits of imagination are frequently overlooked in our society. Imagination is often derided, relegated to the realms of the immature, slackers and dreamers, unless it holds the potential for commercial application.
Our imagination is one of our most powerful gifts. It is what allows us to see possibilities, options and diversity. It shows us things, and takes us to places, that have never been before. Imagination is the expansive vision which creates the future. It introduces us to new ways of thinking and being. Can you imagine anything more awesome than that? Wishing you a day of creative clarity! Fly on, Superhero. Fly on! Today's inspiration is a blast from the past. "Sing" was written in 1971 by Joe Raposo for the children's television show Sesame Street, as its signature song. It gained popularity in 1973, when The Carpenters released it as their debut single from their album Now & Then. Beautifully written and performed, this song is amazing empowering for the young and old, and everyone in between. So, today, why not sing... sing your song... and let the world sing along. Wishing you a day of love and good cheer! Fly on, Superhero Fly on. LYRICS:
Sing. Sing a song. Sing out loud, sing out strong. Sing of good things, not bad. Sing of happy, not sad. Sing. Sing a song. Make it simple to last your whole life long. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear. Just sing. Sing a song. La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La Sing. Sing a song. Let the world. Sing out loud. Sing of love there, could be. Sing for you and for me. Sing a song. Make it simple to last your whole life long. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear. Just sing, sing a song. Written by Joe Raposo Performed by The Carpenters Today is about kindness. “Kindness can become its own motive. We are made kind by being kind.” – Eric Hoffer
May your day be filled with kindness and warmth!

Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself Any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go. You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.) KID, YOU’LL MOVE MOUNTAINS! Wishing you a day of super successful decisions! Fly on, Superhero. Fly on! Today is about generosity ...
“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” - Kahlil Gibran While it is beneficial to provide material items to those in need, the giving of money or physical possessions is just one form of generosity. True generosity does not use currency as a benchmark. True generosity arises spontaneously in the moment, and may appear in many different forms. Sometimes, it is listening to a troubled friend, or giving attention to the child tugging at your sleeve. Other times, it is sharing a conversation and a laugh with a stranger, while waiting for the bus. Generosity involves meeting the situations in our lives openly, without a predetermined agenda. Generosity is about being expansive enough to allow others to have a different opinion. And, love them regardless. Wishing you a day of festive enthusiasm! Fly on, Superhhero. Fly on. “Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice." - Steve Jobs Opinions are a form of repression. When we hold an opinion as being absolute, we close our hearts and minds to all other possible perspectives. We view all other views as being inferior to the one that we hold. Which, we will then feel the need to defend. Opinions change with time and fashion. What is in today, is out tomorrow. Nobody can predict, with any certainty, what is actually best for anyone. No one else has the privilege of being you. No one else can hear your inner voice or heed your inner calling. No one else knows for real, what is best for you, who you should be, how you should live or what you should do. Only you. You know that. If you doubt this, try putting aside all opinions and listening for that voice, that knowing. It is there once you eliminate all the noise. Wishing you a day of sheer revelation! Fly on, Superhero. Fly on! Today is about trust ...
“You are much stronger than you think you are. Trust me” – Superman We are all born with an inner strength which is honed through our experiences in life. We fortify this strength, when we are able to meet challenges and obstacles with an open tenderness for ourselves and others. True strength requires a willingness to be vulnerable, to be centered, honest and touched by the plight of others. Without, shutting down in fear and sheltering beneath self-interest. Being strong requires trust in yourself above all else. Trusting that, in any given situation you will do your best. Because, you will. Everything that you need it inside you. Wishing you a day of unexplored potential! Fly on, Superhero. Fly on! Today is about choice... "Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me..." - Jill Jackson and Sy Miller This video "Safety Match," created by artists Juan Delcan and Valentina Izaguirre, was meant to illustrate the benefits of social distancing. But, it speaks to all matters of choice. It allows us to witness the consequences of one conscious choice made by one individual. Wishing you a day of free-wheeling clarity! Fly on, Superhero.
