Today's inspiration is a blast from the past. "Sing" was written in 1971 by Joe Raposo for the children's television show Sesame Street, as its signature song. It gained popularity in 1973, when The Carpenters released it as their debut single from their album Now & Then. Beautifully written and performed, this song is amazing empowering for the young and old, and everyone in between. So, today, why not sing... sing your song... and let the world sing along. Wishing you a day of love and good cheer! Fly on, Superhero Fly on. LYRICS:
Sing. Sing a song. Sing out loud, sing out strong. Sing of good things, not bad. Sing of happy, not sad. Sing. Sing a song. Make it simple to last your whole life long. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear. Just sing. Sing a song. La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La Sing. Sing a song. Let the world. Sing out loud. Sing of love there, could be. Sing for you and for me. Sing a song. Make it simple to last your whole life long. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear. Just sing, sing a song.
