The universe took its time on you
crafted you to offer the world
something different from everyone else
when you doubt
how you were created
you doubt an energy greater than us both.

— Rupi Kaur

Today a short poem about love...

Love is People
by Fred Rogers

Love is people
Love is people needing people
Love is people caring for people
That is love

Love's a litte child sharing with another
Love's a brave man daring to liberate his brother

Love is people
Love is people needing people
Love is people caring for people
That is love

And though some have costly treasure
It never seems to measure
Up to people needing people
Caring for people
For that's love
Love is people
People love

Superhero Fred Rogers was an American television personality, musician, puppeteer, writer, producer, and minister. He was a responsible and caring pioneer in the field of children's television.

From 1968 to 2001, Fred Rogers hosted a television series he created for preschool children. "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," provided a safe supportive environment where complex issues could be openly discussed. A place where children felt heard.

Wishing you a lovely day filled with caring people!

Today's inspiration is a poem...

Oh, the Places You'll Go!
by Dr. Seuss

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
Any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And
you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who’ll
decide where to go.

You’ll get mixed up,
of course, as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up with
many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great
tact and remember that
Life’s A Great Balancing Act.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.)

KID, YOU’LL MOVE
MOUNTAINS!

Wishing you a day of super successful decisions!

Fly on, Superhero.

A poet's advice on living a vibrant life ...

This is what you shall do:
Love the earth and sun and the animals,
despise riches, give alms to every one that asks,
stand up for the stupid and crazy,

devote your income and labor to others,
hate tyrants, argue not concerning God,
have patience and indulgence toward the people,

take off your hat to nothing known or unknown
or to any man or number of men,
go freely with powerful uneducated persons
and with the young and with the mothers of families,

read these leaves in the open air
every season of every year of your life,
re-examine all you have been told at school
or church or in any book,

dismiss whatever insults your own soul,
and your very flesh shall be a great poem
and have the richest fluency not only in its words
but in the silent lines of its lips and face
and between the lashes of your eyes
and in every motion and joint of your body.

- Walt Whitman, excerpt from the Leaves of Grass

Wishing you a day of embodied rapture!

Buenos Dias, Superhero! (beginnings & Endings)

Today is about beginnings & endings...

Everything that ends is also the beginning of something else.
- Pema Chödrön

Life is a mysterious process of comings and goings. Nothing is permanent, nothing lasts or stays the same. This simple and true observation holds the key to our happiness and our horror.

Everything that we encounter is in a transitory state. When we forget this, we suffer loss and longing. We cling to images and objects of the past, things and ways of being which no longer exist. We lament and obsess about unattainable desires. Meanwhile, we miss the opportunity to participate in life as it is and the opportunities available to us, here and now.

When we understand that life is a series of hellos and goodbyes, we are able to mitigate our emotional responses and reactions. We are able to recognize the unique, delicate and diverse qualities of the world which surrounds us and develop an appreciation, respect and kinship with all beings.

Everything is a dynamic part of life's cycle, unique, precious and mysterious.
That includes YOU!

Tomorrow is Not Promised

Sometimes people come into your life
And you know right away that they are meant to be there
They serve some sort of purpose,
Or help figure out who you are
And who you want to become

You never know who these people may be;
Your neighbor, child, long lost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger
Who, when you lock eyes with them
You know at that very moment that they will affect your life
In some profound way

And sometimes things happen to you
And at the time they seem painful and unfair,
But in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles
You would have never realized your potential strength, will power, or heart

Everything happens for a reason,
Nothing happens by chance
Or by means of good or bad luck
Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity
All occur to test the limits of your soul

Without these small tests, whether they be events, illnesses, or relationships
Life would be like a smoothly paved straight flat road to nowhere,
Safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless

The people you meet who affect your life
And the successes and downfalls you experience create who you are
And even the bad experiences can be learned from
In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart,
Forgive them
For they have helped you learn about trust
And the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart?

If someone loves you
Love them back unconditionally,
Not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love
And opening up your heart and eyes to things you would have
Never seen or felt without them

Make every day count
Appreciate every moment
And take from it everything that you possibly can
For you may never be able to experience it again

Talk to people you have never talked to before
And actually listen
Let yourself fall in love,
Break free and set your sights high?

Hold your head up because you have every right to tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself.
For if you don’t believe in yourself
No one will believe in you either
You can make of your life, anything you wish

Create your own life
And then go out and live in it
Live each day as if it were your last
Tomorrow is Not Promised...
