The Superhero Unfolding Inspiration Station is a pop-up interactive art installation mimicking a vintage Superman-era phone booth. The concept behind Superhero Unfolding is the view that inside of each and every human lies a superhero ready to awaken, ready to unfold. He/she/they are merely waiting to be recognized, appreciated and called forth.
This installation provides an opportunity for passersby to engage in self-exploration and appreciation, while connecting with oneself and others, in a fun, encouraging and playful manner. Participants are asked two questions to invite their inner superhero out to play: What is your Power? This question is to inspire one to discover what makes them unique or powerful. And, What is your Kryptonite? This second question, is to reveal what one holds dear or makes them vulnerable. Inspiration lies within the booth, in the phone books, the telephone and the walls covered with inspirational quotes and messages. Capes hang on the back wall awaiting the emergent hero.
