The Superhero Unfolding Inspiration Station

The Superhero Unfolding Inspiration Station (SUIS) is a pop-up interactive art installation which overlaps expressive arts, graphic design and performance art, with an exploration/exploitation of cultural iconography. Mimicking a vintage Superman-era phone booth, the installation provides an opportunity for passersby to engage in self-exploration and appreciation, while connecting with themselves and others, in a fun, encouraging and playful manner.

During a pop up event, participants are offered an opportunity to be inspired, to reflect upon and appreciate their own unique qualities and those of others. Participants may add speech bubbles to the outside of the booth with their answers to our queries: What is your Power? & What is your Kryptonite? Or, they can put on a Superhero Unfolding cape, write a message on the speech bubble board and take photos. Inside the booth, participants can listen or record, read, write or draw messages of inspiration.
