Today is about generosity ...
“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” - Kahlil Gibran
While it is beneficial to provide material items to those in need, the giving of money or physical possessions is just one form of generosity. True generosity does not use currency as a benchmark.
True generosity arises spontaneously in the moment, and may appear in many different forms. Sometimes, it is listening to a troubled friend, or giving attention to the child tugging at your sleeve. Other times, it is sharing a conversation and a laugh with a stranger, while waiting for the bus.
Generosity involves meeting the situations in our lives openly, without a predetermined agenda. Generosity is about being expansive enough to allow others to have a different opinion. And, love them regardless.
Wishing you a day of festive enthusiasm!
